do order of operations:
60 / 5*(7-5)=
do parenthesis first: 7-5=2
60 / 5*2 =
now do division: 60/5 =12
12*2 =
now multiply: 12 *2 = 24
answer is 24
(-4 1/2) / (-2 2/3) =.....turn to improper fractions
(- 9/2) / (-8/3) =...when dividing fractions, flip what u r dividing by, then multiply
-9/2 * -3/8 =
27/16 =
1 11/16 <==
You would write it as -4 1/2

You have 8 km in an hour.
Divide all that by two and you'll have 4 km in 30 mins.
Then divide by two again to end up with 2 km in 15 mins.
You could alternatively divide by four from the beginning, but I find this easier.
