The correct answer is C) They needed to replace the British government after the war with their own government.

Each of the states wrote a Constitution as soon as independence was declared because they needed to replace the British government after the war with their own government.

The Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, during the American Revolutionary War. Although the war ended until 1783, each of the colonies knew that they had to create their own set of rules to replace the ruling of the English crown. So many states decided that popular rule should be the right form of government. That is why the assemblies had a prominent role in the new governments and the governor followed in importance.

Why was the articles of confederation set up in such a way
Alex777 [14]

Answer:

Why did our founding fathers decide to replace the Articles of Confederation?

The Articles created a loose confederation of sovereign states and a weak central government, leaving most of the power with the state governments. The need for a stronger Federal government soon became apparent and eventually led to the Constitutional Convention in 1787.

Which of the following best explains why the Aztecs were so warlike?
lutik1710 [3]

Answer:

The Aztec held great power over the empire. One reason for their success was that the island location of their capital protected them from attack.  However, the island was marsh so it posed a major challenge for farming. But, the resourceful Aztec found a way. They built floating gardens called chinampas on which they grew crops. First, they piled up plants from the water. Then they anchored these rafts between trunks of willow trees. Finally, they heaped the lake's fertile mud on piles to create plots for farming. The Aztec grew many crops, such as maize, beans, squash, avocados, tomatoes, peppers, and flowers. They also raised turkeys, ducks, geese, and dogs for food.

How did china's geography both help an hinder china's development
kogti [31]

One famous speculation about the impact of China’s geography comes from Jared Diamond’s book Guns, Germs, and Steel.Diamond says that China’s geography initially helped the country. He says (on p. 414) that China’s heartland did not have many barriers to break it up. Its two major river valleys were easily connected. This allowed the civilization of the north to interact with the civilization of the south. The two civilizations could share ideas and strengthen one another. This, Diamond says, helped China become a very strong and advanced country by the early 1400s. At that point, it was more developed than European countries were. Thus, its geography helped it by allowing it to become a unified civilization very quickly. However, Diamond says that this geography then caused China to lose its lead over Europe. Because China was so geographically interconnected, it was able to become one unified country instead of being many small countries as existed in Western Europe. In Europe, the countries competed with one another and forced each other to develop. In China, there was only one country and there was no competition. This meant that China did not have to keep progressing. It could stagnate in terms of technology without being conquered by other neighboring countries. Because China was united and unchallenged, it did not have to get stronger. In this way, Diamond says, its geography, which had once helped it rise, also helped make it fall.
