Ever since the fall of the Soviet Union, Ukraine and most Ukrainians have been wishing to become finally part of the EU, the most economically and politically integrated region of the world.

Ukrainians understand that membership in the European Union means closer market integration with the great nations of Europe, better economic and monetary policy, and a stronger international standing in the world scene. In other words, EU membership has many positives, and very few negatives, if any, and for this reason, I, as representative of the Ukrainian people, ask EU member nations for the support.
