Connotation means that there is a meaning beyond the literal. Something literal (in this case) is what you see. The first 2 are what you see.

The answer is somewhere along the lines of the good witch wears pink and apreciates all the small people( i fogot their names) she also uses little fairy wands and wants to help others whereas the bad witches dress in dark colours and hate other people they look green to show hatrid and anger and try and take things not belonging to others also they were striped stocking which is what many people imagine witchs to look like hope this helps
