Pericardial fluid is a serous substance
produced by the serous layer of the pericardium into the pericardial cavity. The
pericardial fluid reduces friction by lubricating the epicardial surface and allows
the two membranes to glide over each other with every heart beat.
Four ways can be exhibited as the following, 1) they provide nutrients/oxygen for the body, 2) they take wastes and other substances that harms the body, 3) the metabolism and other cell processes and 4) regulates and manages the body temperature.
