Which organelle do you think is the most important organelle for an animal cell? why or why not?
Vera_Pavlovna [14]
THE NUCLEUS, BECAUSE FIRST OF THE NUCLEUS CONTROLS MOST OF THE HEREDITARY INFORMATION OF DNA YOU KNOW WHAT IS RIGHT? (DEOXYRIBONUCLEIC ACID) WHICH IS FOUND ON THE CHROMOSOMES. ALL THE OTHER ORGANELLES THAT DOES THERE OWN FUNCTIONS ARE CONTROLLED BY THE NUCLEUS. FOR EXAMPLE:

NUCLEUS: HEY RIBOSOMES!!
RIBOSOMES: YEA BOSS?
NUCLEUS: GO TO THE ENDOPLASMIC RECTULUM AND PRODUCE PROTEINS THERE
RIBOSOMES: YOU GOT IT BOSS!

SEE.... RIBOSOMES PRODUCE PROTEINS  FOLLOWING CODED INSTRUCTIONS THAT COME FROM THE NUCLEUS.  "THE CONTROL CENTER"

_______ is at the size and shape of a pea; produces hormones that stimulate other endocrine glands.
inna [77]

Answer:

The correct answer is hypophysis or pituitary.

Explanation:

The pituitary gland is at the size and shape of a pea and is also known as the master gland because it controls and stimulates the regulation of other endocrine glands. The pituitary gland is itself an endocrine gland which secretes its hormone directly in the blood.

Some hormones released by pituitary that stimulate other endocrine gland are adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) which stimulate the adrenal gland to release cortisol. FSH and LH hormone that stimulate testes and ovary in male and female, Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) which stimulate thyroid gland, etc. Therefore the right answer is pituitary.

How does gel electrophoresis help determine relatedness in a species?
Jlenok [28]
Gel electrophoresis is used in a device that compares the DNA of organisms to each other.

When gel electrophoresis is used, bands of DNA are pulled to polar ends, creating a line of bands of DNA varying in thickness. Some bands may attract more than others which then makes this line of DNA bands. This occurs with several samples of DNA used in a device with gel electrophoresis. The lines of bands that are the most similar are the ones that are the most related to each other. If the line of bands is identical to another line of bands, it is the same organism.
