Answer:

2 hours

Suzy would earn $40

Bill will earn $40

they will both earn $80

Step-by-step explanation:

The total amount suzy earns is a function of the total hours worked. Let t represent time

total income of suzy = $20t eqn 1

Bill's income = starting bonus + variable pay

= $20 + $10t

We are looking for when they would earn the same amount :

20t = $20 + $10t  eqn 2

collect like terms and solve for t

10t = $20

t = 2 hours

Substitute for t in either eqn 1 or 2

20(2) = $40

Suzy would earn $40

Bill will earn $40

they will both earn $80

Answer:

A is false

Step-by-step explanation:

notice how in both diagrams, there are 4 triangles with lengths a, b, c, but in each diagram the triangles are just rotated and positioned differently. if there are the same amount of triangles in both diagrams, and the have equal lengths then the area of the remaining figure, should both match up.

basically the area of the big square in Step 2, is equal to both of the shaded squares, combined area, in Step 1.

Find an equation for those points P such that the distance from P to A(0, 1, 2) is equal to the distance from P to B(6, 4, 2). W
suter [353]

Answer:  The required equation for points P is 4x+2y=17.

Step-by-step explanation: We are give two points A(0, 1, 2) and B(6, 4, 2).

To find the equation for points P such that the distance of P from both A and B are equal.

We know that the distance between two points R(a, b, c) and S(d, e, f) is given by

RS=\sqrt{(d-a)^2+(e-b)^2+(f-c)^2}.

Let the point P be represented by (x, y, z).

According to the given information, we have

PA=PB\\\\\Rightarrow \sqrt{(x-0)^2+(y-1)^2+(z-2)^2}=\sqrt{(x-6)^2+(y-4)^2+(z-2)^2}\\\\\Rightarrow x^2+y^2-2y+1+z^2-4z+4=x^2-12x+36+y^2-8y+16+z^2-4z+4~~~~~~~[\textup{Squaring both sides}]\\\\\Rightarrow -2y+1=-12x-8y+52\\\\\Rightarrow 12x+6y=51\\\\\Rightarrow 4x+2y=17.

Thus, the required equation for points P is 4x+2y=17.

Alright assuming they mean total surface area since they didn't say lateral the equation to follow would be S= Ph + 2B

Start with P:
P stands for perimeter, so add up all the edges on one face of the cube.

17 + 17 + 17 + 17 = 68
Then your equation becomes
S= 68×h + 2B
h=height and that's obviously 17
so, S= 68×17 +2B

Now to find B. This is pretty easy. All you need to do is take 17×17 because you're finding the area of the base. This equals 289.

Finally this leaves us with the equation
S= 68×17+2×289

From there on you just solve it out.
This would leave you with 1734.

1. ab= 6 x 3 = 18             1) = 18

2. c + 4 = 2 + 4 = 6           2) = 6

3. a/b = 6/3 = 2                 3) = 2

4. a - b - 6 - 3 = 3             4) = 3

5. 2c = 2(2) = 4                5) = 4

6. b/3 = 3/3 = 1                6) = 1

7. a - 1 = 6 - 1 = 5           7) = 5

8. 6 + c= 6 + 2 = 8          8) = 8
