The average height of 4 children is (15h-3). Two more children join the group with heights of (10h+46) centimeters and (14h-16)
oksian1 [2.3K]

Answer: 123.5 centimeters

Step-by-step explanation:

Let sum of observations be S and number of observations be n.

Average A=\frac{\text{S}}{\text{n}}

The average height of 4 children is (15h-3)

(15h-3)=\frac{S}{4}\\\Rightarrow\ S=4(15h-3)\\\Rightarrow\ S=60h-45

Also, when two more children join the group with heights of (10h+46) centimeters and (14h-16) centimeters the sum of heights of 6 children will be

S+(10h+46)+(14h-16)=60h-45+10h+46+14h-16=84h-107

Now, Average height of 6 students=\frac{84h-15}{6}

At h=9

Average height of 6 students=\frac{84(9)-15}{6}=\frac{741}{6}=123.5\ centimeters

How many stones are needed to trade for 10bricks ?
lianna [129]
You need 10 logs for 1 brick. To get 10 bricks you need 100 logs. You are collecting stones and 1 stone gets you 4 logs. That means to get 100 logs you’ll need 25 stones. That indirectly means that 25 stones gets you 10 bricks.

How do i solve this
natima [27]

I think you are suppose to get "k" by itself, so you first multiply 2/5 to (k - 2)

-8 ≤ 2/5 (k - 2)

-8 ≤ 2/5k - 4/5

Next you add 4/5 on both sides

-8 + 4/5 ≤ 2/5k

Then you make the denominators the same in order to add them

-40/5 + 4/5 ≤ 2/5k

-36/5 ≤ 2/5k

Finally you multiply each side by 5/2 to get "k" by itself

-18 ≤ k
