§ That's a hard situation to be in, but I'd try to tell my family that just because someone is of another race doesn't make them a horrible person or mean they should be treated like garbage- Then, if I could change their minds I'd tell my parents about them, but be careful not to say that we are friends, and if they are accepting I'd tell them I want to be friends with the classmate §

I’d disown my parents, because racists don’t deserve the time or energy. Obviously, I’d be careful not to let them know i’m friends with that person in the first place, because I wouldn’t want to put my friend in any danger, but in general, I’d just fight the parents
