How about a history project on the Mayflower?
It is the ship that carried the Pilgrims to the New World.
You would get to build a model ship, and you would need to put together display telling how the Mayflower helped the Pilgrims across the ocean.
Whittier used "We" and "Thou" as forms of repetition in his song of slaves in the desert.
We: He used we as to show that basically slaves WERE NOT alone in this at all. In a way at that time, every single slave was connected with each other no matter what.
Thou: From what i have seen, Whittier is using "Thou" to refer to God. For example: "We are fools, but Thou art wise"
For the devices, he's using Anaphora for "Thou" and maybe Conduplicatio for "We".
It's important to use the literary elements/devices in the book like how it describes someone's appearance by using a metaphor, simile, and personification. you can tell how one feels by how they say things like if they yelled it, it would mean they are angry in that part. in an action of a drama the sounds like a boom, paw, rattle etc. is helpful to think about while thinking of it. Imagery and detail is very helpful to use while picturing the action.
