Explanation: Irrigation was the process of pulling water away from the main source of water using small man made trenches. Irrigation has been used for thousands of years even by the earliest civilizations. Irrigation can be used to bring drinking water into a city but it is used mostly to water crops. Sadly Irrigation will eventually destroy the Lakes,Rivers, or even seas that are being irrigated from, take the Aeral Sea for example, once a beautiful sea full of water is now nearly an empty sand bed all due to extensive irrigation.

Although king of ancient Macedonia for less than 13 years, Alexander the Great changed the course of history. One of the world's greatest military generals, he created a vast empire that stretched from Macedonia to Egypt and from Greece to part of India. This allowed for Hellenistic culture to become widespread.
