6 + 18d - 5

Collect like terms

18d + (6 - 5)

Simplify

3(2+6d)-5

Do distributive property first. So 3*2 and 3*6d

3*2 is 6 and 3*6d is 18d

Now its like this: 6+18d-5

Combine like terms

6-5 is 1

so the answer is 1+18d
