Answer:

C. It adds a negative connotation to the idea of a candidate having less privacy.

Explanation:

The passage is not included but to scrutinise means to look very closely at something or examine in a thorough manner which would connote an invasion of privacy when used to examine someone with or without the person's knowledge.

Therefore, the likely impact of the author's use of the word "scrutinise" would likely have the impact of someone having his privacy invaded which would add a negative connotation.

A spanish romance story of course! Enrique Estavez is having a hard time looking for a girl, he runs into Yolanda Rodriguez at the local market and then they hit it off. Boom, spanish romance story right there. You can't forget the climax though, like he has to beat up some dude at a bar because he's really drunk and he thought she was flirting with him but it's actually her distant cousin. But, they overcome their problem and get married, hop into the red convertible out back and speed off into the Spanish sunset.

What do the soldiers in "the Light Brigade" and the father in "Do not go Gentle" have in common? Question 10 options:
Oliga [24]

Answer:

Both are approaching their death.

Explanation:

Alfred Lord Tennyson's poem "The Charge of the Light Brigade" is a poem about the "<em>brigade</em>" of 600 soldiers charging into the "<em>valley of death"</em>. They were fighting against an enemy who had seized their guns and were now trying to fully destroy them.

Dylan Thomas' poem "Do Not Go Gentle Into The Night" is a poem that talks of a son's plea to his father to fight against the 'hands of death'. He wanted his father to hold on to life, to "<em>rage against the dying of the light</em>".

Both poems talk of dying and the need to fight against the elements of dying, from being taken away from the living world. Both poems talk of the characters approaching their deaths, the soldiers in Tennyson's poem and the father in Dylan's poem.
