A poem’s meter is the type of poetic foot combined with the number of poetic feet in each line. Review the first stanza of “The

Raven” again and identify its meter.
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
“'Tis some visitor, “I muttered, tapping at my chamber door —
Only this, and nothing more.”

Note the meter of the poem. Then provide a brief explanation for your answer. Be sure to use examples from the poem.

Answer:

The meter of “The Raven” is trochaic octameter. The following line from the poem has trochaic feet:

While I | nodded, | nearly | napping, | sudden | ly there | came a | tapping,

Each stressed syllable is followed by a single unstressed syllable. This pattern is repeated eight times in the line. Because there are eight trochaic feet in the line, it is written in octameter.

The answer to the question above is "b) He was depicted as a Saxon warrior" which is the true statement regarding Beowulf according to the Beowulf manuscript. "We need the medalllion!" Luis exclaimed.

"Okay, let's go" I agreed.

Now, we were on our way to look for the medallion It was pitch dark outside, I could barely see anything, but we needed to find that medallion. If it ended up in the wrong hands, everything could be over. It's powers Grant many amazing things, however, if the enemy obtains it, its game over for all of us; and I had no idea where to find it

"Hurry" I told Luis who stood behind me not moving one muscle.

"Oh you poor thing. Never trust anyone" he said as I turned to look at him.

Write a letter to the chairman of national library to open a furnished library in your locality
user100 [1]

Answer:

See explanation

Explanation:

90 Aba Owerri Road,

Umungasi,

Aba,

Abia State,

Nigeria.

2nd November, 2020

The Chairman,

National Library Commission,

Federal Secretariat,

FCT.

Sir,

REQUEST FOR A FURNISHED LIBRARY IN ABA

It is with utmost expediency that I write to you to demand the opening of a state of the art library in Aba metropolis.

Aba is an ancient town in South Eastern Nigerian known for its zest for the acquisition of knowledge. Aba is home to three tertiary institutions of international repute. These institutions have contributed positively to local and international research.

Unfortunately, there is no public library that serves the residents of Aba metropolis. Aba residents have to travel to Owerri to access a furnished public library. This situation has a negative impact on the younger generation. It hinders the development of a reading culture among youths and teenagers.

Personally, I have been forced to undertake trips to nearby cities in order to access library services. This ought not to be so in the 21st century.

I call on you to use your good office to initiate the location of a well furnished public library in Aba metropolis.

Thanks in anticipation of your positive response.

Yours Faithfully,

Jude Chinonso Njoku
