Answer: it depends on the problem basically, if the denominator isn't the same as the first fraction, then there will be a different number. But if it's the same, then the numerator is the only part that will change because it adds to it

snow_tiger [21]
Answer:
x^2+0x+(-x^2)=0

Explanation:
x^2+0x+(-x^2)=0
Anything multiplied by 0 is equal to 0
x^2+0+(-x^2)=0
x^2+(-x^2)=0
A positive and a negative makes a negative
x^2-x^2=0
0=0

For these types of problems, play around with multiplying by 0 and adding negatives.

I hope this helps! Please comment if you have any questions.

Please help me with this thanks
Sindrei [870]

Answer:

442.5 feet^2

Step-by-step explanation:

So this figure is an octagonal prism.

First off we need to find the area of the two octagons.

The formula for the area is 2(1+ to the square root of 2)a^2.

The a is one side value and in this case it is 4 so plug that in and you get 77.25 feet^2.

The same steps apply for the bottom octagon but we don’t have to do that because it is the same as the top one.

So adding up the two octagons is 154.5 feet^2.

Now time for the rectangles.

In total there are 8 rectangles and a really easy way to do this is finding the area of one rectangle and multiplying that by 8.

So the length is 9 and the width is 4 and when you multiply that together you get 36.

Then multiply 36 by 8 and you will get 288 feet^2.

So when you add up 288 and 154.5 you will get 442.5 feet^2 as your final answer.
