When Anna eats an apple, the sugars in that apple are broken down into the substance called glucose. Glucose is then burned in h

er body for energy. One of the body parts that needs this energy is the heart, which beats due to electrical impulses. A byproduct of this glucose breakdown is the heat that warms her body and is later released.
Which identifies the energy transformations that take place in Anna’s body as this process takes place?

A.) Mechanical energy is converted to kinetic energy, which is then converted to potential energy.
B.) Chemical energy is converted to thermal energy and electrical energy.
C.) Electrical energy is converted to chemical energy and thermal energy.
D.) Mechanical energy is converted to potential energy which is then converted to kinetic energy.

The pancreas and gland cells of the small intestine secrete digestive enzymes that chemically break down complex food molecules into simpler ones. or Complete digestion takes place in the small intestine as it finally absorbs the nutrients. The end products of digestion are amino acids, fatty acids, glycerol, and glucose.

HURRY PLEASE!! Explain how the DNA molecule is stabilized but also able to be changed.
alexandr1967 [171]
The nitrogenous bases placed in between the DNA double helix strands, like rungs on a ladder, are positioned there because of the hydrophobic effect and are stabilized by hydrogen bonding. The stability of DNA also relies on the interactions between the hydrogen bonds between bases, hydrogen bonds between bases and surrounding water, and base interaction between neighboring bases.

Hydrogen bonds are able to stabilize the DNA double helix by pairing up with their complementary base pairs (guanine with cytosine and adenine with thymine)

Hope this was able to help you! I went through my answer and bolded the more important parts, and parts more useful for answering the question.

In the deep water where there is no sunlight, how do bacteria and plants create<br> their food?
irina [24]

Answer:

Bacteria and Plants use the process of chemosynthesis to create/make food using chemical reactions.

Explanation:

"Autotrophs that perform chemosynthesis do not use energy from the sun to produce food. Instead, they make food using energy from chemical reactions, often combining hydrogen sulfide or methane with oxygen. ... Bacteria that live in the deep ocean, near hydrothermal vents, also produce food through chemosynthesis."
