In order to solve your question, you first have to understand what 1/3 of 36 is. you can do that by dividing 36/3.

when you do this you get the answer of 12. 1/3 of 36 is 12.

to get the 2/3 part. Add 12 to the existing part that you have.

Therefore, you have 24 plant eaters.
