I would choose Michelangelo because his art is mostly on ceilings and it tells a really good story about the "gods and heroes" of the day.

I used the criteria communication he uses in his art. Something that is appealing is that his art has demonstrated a blend of psychological insight, physical realism and intensity never before seen.
