Asia. In the yearly survey held by the American based non- governmental Freedom House, the ratings showed that the continent that would least enjoy these liberties would be Asia. Africa was a close second to Asia.
It was manly because of the catholic church which remained in the base of Rome. It drew pilgrims from all over Europe, educated clerics to read and write, support arts and architecture.
The French and Indian War began in 1754 and ended with the Treaty of Paris in 1763. The Great Britain gained territories in the North American, but disputes about policies and paying war's expenses led to colonial discontent. Taxation was created to pay back the debts. Stamp Act, Tea Act and Townsend Act were introduced. This ultimately led to the American Revolution.
During the 1790s, France believed that the United States was losing its neutrality because of the Alien and Sedition Acts.
