Answer:

The massive dust storms caused farmers to lose their livelihoods and their homes. Deflation from the Depression aggravated the plight of Dust Bowl farmers. Prices for the crops they could grow fell below subsistence levels. In 1932, the federal government sent aid to the drought-affected states.

What were causes and consequences of war of independence in 1857?
Alex

Question:

What were causes and consequences of war of independence in 1857?

Answer:

There were many causes of the War of Independence of 1857. They can be divided into political, religious, military, economic and social causes. The East India Company was aiming to annex all the states of India like Avadh, Tanjore, Jhansi, Satara, etc. That’s why they introduced systems like Doctrine of Lapse by which Indian states could be taken over by the Company in case there was no male heir to the throne of the state. This provoked the rulers like Nana Sahib, the adopted son of Peshwa and Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi. The Company also declared that after the death of the then Mughal emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar, his family had to move out of the Red Fort and his successors were also forbidden to use the title of emperor. All these attempts alienated both Hindu and Muslim Indians who realized that the White men were intending to devour their lands.

Hope this helps!

7. The utopian communities founded in the early 1800s were attempts to form perfect societies. based on government institutions.
Lina20 [59]

There were many utopian communities in the USA in the 19th century.

They were attempts to have a perfect society, where people could live peaceful lives.

They were not based on government institutions, neither were they dominated by immigrants. They were mostly created by American citizens, instead.

The third option is the most accurate, for they were based on European customs, following their style of farming, they were usually very religious, and lived a very similar life to their European counterparts.
