1.) The Hunger Games were created to serve as a form of punishment for the 13 districts of Panem after they tried to revolt against the Capitol. The Hunger Games are an annual event. Every year, a male and a female between the ages of 12-18 are selected from each district in a process called "the Reaping". The selected pair are then taken to the Capitol to prepare for the battle that will take place in just 3 days. The original rules state that one person will remain alive, although, *SPOILER* in Peeta and Katniss' case, two victors were allowed to emerge.
2.) In Mockingjay, the third book, after Snow is slain and the Capitol's tyranny is brought down, a decision is made to discontinue the Hunger Games, as they were cruel and inhumane

In this case, the character Wolfshiem, relates to the theme of love and marriage. Marriage and love weren't depicted in the traditional sense. It showed that people married because of money.

I would say first identifying their purpose for reading the text so they can look for whatever it is. (for example, answering short answer questions they might want to read the questions first and then read the text and look for the answers)
Perhaps next would be maybe getting away from any distractions so they can read the text clearly. (so if your in a place where a lot of people are talking they might want to go to a more quite room)
I hope that helps!
