Answer:

Well the difference is back then they had many stupid things to get mad over like laws ad other stuff I can't remeber but now a days things have gotten more serious like people killing other people, people protesting, people still thinking black people don't matter and more problems.

I really hope this helps I was trying to remeber what I was learning from one of my classes I took last year. But if it doesn't help feel free to delete my answer.

CAN YOU PLEASE TYPE OUT A PARAGRAPH (doesn't have to be long, but at least a lil long ig) answer each one in the paragraph! i'll
nikklg [1K]

Answer:

Well I do think its a valid punishment to like a huge crime. It does discourage people from commiting these types of stuff becuase everyone values their lives (arguably) and by putting someone to death for huge crime like going on a huge murder spree, that person should be put to death and it discourages others to do what that person did. The main reason is to prevent more loss of life then that was already lost. If there was no death penalty, people wouldn’t see life in prison that bad so they would commit who knows what things to people or major establishments. More and more people are gonna do it since they won’t die and the loss of neutral and innocent lives isn’t worth a nice stable shelter at a prison. If you put someone to death, others will be afraid to commit the same crime.

How does the supreme court decide which cases to hear
liq [111]
Justices have clerks that sort through the thousands of petitions and cases, who then give a smaller pile to the justices for them to vote on which ones they want to have a trial for. Each year, the selected amount of cases is only around 1% of the proposed cases. They will often only select cases that will set a strong precedent for future judicial review in the country.
