Ghana, is an African country, located in the west of the continent, it is characterized by its peculiar geographical regions, some of which are:

1. The Low plains

2. The Ashanti Uplands

3. The Akwapim-Togo Ranges

4. The Volta Basin

5. The high plains in the northern and northwestern part of Ghana, outside the Volta Basin.

Considered to be warm with humid climate, Ghana is surrounded by Togo in the East, Cote D'voire in the West, Burkina Faso in the North, and Atlantic Ocean in the South.

Ghana also have three distinct international rivers which includes:

1. The Volta River, which is also shared by other five neighbouring countries: Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Burkina Faso, Benin and Mali.

2. The Bia River from the Ashanti Uplands and flows into Côte d’Ivoire.

3. The Tano River, flowing from the Ashanti Uplands as well.
