A square rug has an area of 25^2 . Find the length and width of the rug. You do not have to put a label in your answer for credi
amm1812
Because it's a square so the length and width are equal. That means length=width=25
so when you multiplied length by width , it will be an area (25*25=25^2)

Can someone help me with this
prisoha [69]
You would need the distance formula
 \sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1})^{2}+(y_{2}-y_{1})^{2}

Insert the numbers
\sqrt{(-1+1)^{2}+(2-6)^{2}

Solve inside
\sqrt{(0)^{2}+(-4)^{2}

Square and add
\sqrt{16}

Square root
4 units is the distance

Hey there!

1. Arc IJ = 62
1/2(360 - 2(78 + 40)) = 62

2. Arc WY = 103
50 + 53 = 103

3. Arc DEG = 204
70 + 77 + 57 = 204

4. Use pythagorean theorem
12.4^2 = x^2 + 11.5^2
x = 12.3

5. Use pythagorean theorem
x^2 = 5.2^2 + 8.4^2
x = 9.9

6. Use pythagorean theorem
18.1^2 = 10.1^2 + x^2
x = 15.1

7. Use the formula for the area of a circle
A = pi x (10^2)
A = 100pi
A = 314.2yd^2

8. Use the formula for the area of a circle
A = pi x (5.4^2)
A = 29.16pi
A = 91.6m^2

9. Use the formula for the circumference of a circle
C = 2 x pi x 4
C = 8pi
C = 25.1ft

10. Use the formula for the circumference of a circle
C = 2 x pi x 3
C = 6pi
C = 18.9yd

11. Use the standard equation of a circle
4 = (x - 15)^2 + (y - 8)^2

12. Use the standard equation of a circle
122 = (x + 1)^2 + (y - 3)^2

Hope this helps!! :)
