Answer:

African Slaves brought to the Americas.

Explanation:

Migration is a process that has been happening since humankind exists. The reasons have been numerous, with some being more prevelent than others. Unfortunately, apart from migration by choice, there have been and still are migrations that have been forced, and one of the best examples is the migration of enslaved people because of the needs of their owners.

The example of forced migration that is most commonly mentioned is the case of the African Slaves being brought to the Americas. This was a mass migration of millions of people against their will. The more powerful kingdoms of Africa captured people from other kingdoms or tribes and sold them to the Europeans so that they can obtain certain goods, while the Europeans were using the slaves for their plantations.

The statement that shows how the image is a part of the cultural landscape of the area is Both Chinese writing and English writing are used on the front of the building.

The term that best explains the change in the significance of the building is Sequent occupancy.

How to define cultural landscape?

Cultural landscape in contemporary geography refers to how cultures would have blended with each other and with the environment at large to become more unique to a particular place.

We can see that the building in the image is part of the cultural landscape of the area because it has both Chinese and English writing to show that it represents a mix of both those cultures.

Sequent occupancy is a term in geography and cultural science that relates to how an area will be influenced by the cultures of those who have lived in the area before, and who now stay in that area.

Sequent occupancy is therefore at play here because the building has been affected by both Chinese people and the culture that built and owned the building which was not Chinese. This meant that the cultural significance of the building changed to be more Chinese overtime.
