Just doubling up on what the other guy said, the incentive is a reward, because it drives someone to work well for a reward. Kinda like riding a horse with a carrot dangling from a stick in front of it lol

This incentive is a reward for all my hard work and efforts. This incentive will make me want to work as hard on future projects and assignments so, I can be rewarded for my efforts with great grades.
