According to the political cartoon, the truth is that our Earth in the future will be very polluted, toxic and hard to live in. The media only shows a picture of a clean, good-living environment but behind that picture is the reality. The reality is the environment is a polluted area. This is dangerous because if they don’t tell us the truth about how our world is, then we will keep living the world like we are and end up dying from the toxic fumes and unstable environment. Overall, I think that the political cartoon is emphasizing that you shouldn’t base all your opinions on an issue until you get all the facts. Getting all the facts involves not just relying on the media. </span>
I believe he may want to eat at the table because back then in the segregated times African Americans were not allowed to eat with the other guests they had to eat in the kitchen. So basically he was saying he was an American as well and his color made no difference to whether or not he could eat with the rest of the guests.
