The first fraction is 4 over 6, right? hopefully it is, i cant really see.
Basically, you can divide 4 and 6 by the same number, they have factors in common. They're both multiples of 2. if you divide them both by 2, you get 2 over 3, which is the <em>exact same amount as 4 over 6, it's just written in a simpler way. </em>the first answer is 2 over 3.

What numbers can both 10 and 15 be divided by? give it a try.

In a random sample, 10 students were asked to compute the distance they travel one way to school to the nearest tenth of a mile.
elixir [45]

Answer:

Mean = 3.12, Variance = 3.324, Standard deviation = 1.8232

Step-by-step explanation:

Total number of students = 10 students.

Given data, 1.1, 5.2, 3.6, 5.0, 4.8, 1.8, 2.2, 5.2, 1.5, 0.8

To find the mean, at first we have to take the sum of all given data and then divide with the number of students.

Let the data is X, = 1.1, + 5.2, + 3.6, + 5.0, + 4.8, + 1.8, + 2.2, + 5.2, + 1.5, + 0.8 = 31.2

Mean = 31.2 / 10 = 3.12

\text{Standard deviation, S} = \sqrt{\frac{\sum x^{2} - \left [ (\sum x)^{2}/n \right ]}{n-1}} \\S = 1.8232 \\\rm The \ Variance = S^{2} = 3.324

What is the length of the line?
mamaluj [8]

Hi there!

\large\boxed{\text{ D. } \sqrt{136}}

Use the Pythagorean theorem to find the length of the line.

If we draw an imaginary right triangle using the given line as the hypotenuse, we can derive a height of 6 units and a length of 10 units.

Use the Pythagorean theorem equation:

c² = a² + b²

Plug in the height and length:

c² = 6² + 10²

Simplify:

c² = 36 + 100

c² = 136

Take the square root of both sides:

c = √136. The correct answer is D.
