Answer and Explanation:

In Act 2, John Proctor is still struggling to keep up with all the charges that Abigail is making. He knows that it will be impossible to commit without sjar his reputation, because he will have to assume for the whole society that he committed adultery with Abigail and that is the reason that she creates all these problems in the city. Furthermore, John is uncomfortable with the situation of his marriage, because he feels that Elizabeth does not forgive him, but continues to judge him because of the adultery.

In that case, you can write about John Proctor, reinforcing his attempt to hide his sins, but the weight in the awareness that this sin imposes.

What message about war does Hemingway express in “In Another Country”? How does he  use the elements of fiction to express it?
Brrunno [24]

Answer:

Hemingway expresses his thoughts on war and its impact from the point of view of “The Lost Generation”. He expresses the message that the war was destructive and many people (i.e. those who are a part of The Lost Generation) deeply felt the losses caused by the war. He expresses the impact of the physical losses as well as peoples loss of faith in humanity after World War I. He also discusses the fact that the war led to many people losing their “moral bearings” after witnessing so much loss and annihilation. In “In Another Country”, Hemingway uses the narrator’s matter-of-fact and bleak tone to convey his thoughts on the war. He also uses visceral imagery and adjectives like cold, dark, heavy, and stiff to help create the appropriate tone and establish a bleak setting to express his thoughts.
