An American tourist in France discovers that the neighbourhood where he's staying has many little speciality shops, like bakeries, butcher shops, prepared meat shops, and cheese stores. However, he has more difficulty locating a 24-hour store like he's used to seeing back home. What does this difference show him about French and American priorities? Write five to seven sentences.

Americans tend to want things done fast, and cheap. Whereas in France, they appreciate community, small businesses and culture. Specialty shops are more quaint and usually aren’t 24 hour because they’re the owners and work for money but also for their people. Americans prioritize the profit and scale rather than the people themselves.
