During this quarter you have read informational texts and analyzed arguments about how our decisions impact our environment in b

oth positive and negative ways. Throughout the quarter you have also considered what we can do to address environmental issues. Now, imagine that the Ad Council is seeking student-created public service announcements (PSAs) about what young people can do to impact an environmental issue. The PSAs will be broadcast on the Internet, uploaded to social media sites, and aired on television during programming for teens. Since the topic of the environment is so broad, you will need to select one specific issue and develop an argument for why young people should care about the issue and what they can do to address the problem. Public service announcements need a script, so your PSA should state a claim or thesis by taking a clear side, back it up with research, and refute the other side, if applicable. Be sure that your claim is supported by facts and details from multiple sources you studied and analyzed.
Active Reading: Unlocking a Prompt Steps-

1. Read the prompt/task carefully.
2. Circle the key direction verbs and underline important ideas.
3. Explain what the prompt is asking you to do in your own words.
4. Restate the prompt expectations and develop your plan for this task.

ra1l [238]

I would say that this is right. If the person decided to send their money to a person who needed it then that alone is a wonderful thing to do. As for the fact that the sender did not include his/her name, they might not want recognition or praise for their actions. Many people decide to donate anonymously because they want to help the cause without getting involved personally.

Hope this helps!

OlgaM077 [116]

Answer:

D) It appeared as though Mrs. Hale was answering the question, but she actually meant something quite different with her response.

Explanation:

In Susan Glaspell's play "Triffles," the people investigating the crime find sewing elements which the men overlook because they believe a kitchen holds trivial items. The reason is that the thoughts and opinions of women were not considered important at the time. Thus, the uneven stitching in Mrs. Wright's quilt indicates that she was upset or distracted by disturbed during her quilting. As a result, with the discovery of the dead bird, the women realize that Mrs Wright had was going through an oppressive marriage and had reasons to kill her husband. That is why Mrs. Hale means something different than what she is answering: the women are actually hiding the evidence to protect Mrs. Wright.
