The Loyall Nine expanded and later came to be known as the Sons of Liberty, who formed local committees of correspondence in response to abreast protests throughout the colonies occurred.

The Sons of Liberty group includes colonial merchants and tradesmen who were founded and responsible to protest the effect of the Stamp Act and other different forms of taxation. The group of revolutionists included in the stamp act is prominent patriots like Benedict Arnold, Patrick Henry, Paul Revere,  Adams, and Hancock.

The act required to make the colonists pay taxes which is represented by a stamp on various forms of papers, documents as well as playing cards. It was a particular type of direct tax which was imposed by the British government without getting the approval of the colonial legislatures and was concerned to payable in hard condition to obtain British sterling which is rather than the colonial type of currency.
