If you draw the line and mark -2 and 3 you find that they are 5 apart. By calculation, subtract the lowest from the highest: 3 - -2 = 3+2 = 5

Function 2 has the value 3 at x=0.
3 is greater than 2, so Function 2 has the greater initial value.
-3 and -2 would be the answer I think
100-99=1
98-97=1
...
4-3=1
2-1=1
Any number subtracted from a number greater than it by one will always have the result of 1.
