They were forced to be under European rule and were disregarded of their culture, beliefs, and factors in their society.

An example would be Mezitos where the Europeans had a relationship with Native Women as a sign of racial superioty since they wnated "white kids". They also forced labor upon Native Americans in order to gain cash crops in exchange for more money, goods, or slaves.
