Culture can change how we see things. If a certain culture is against another cultures tradition they won't like it and try to ignore it.

Sex can change the way people think about our emotional attachment. It can change our expression towards love and thoughts about commitment (im not 100% sure about this one)

gender roles can change how we think about other people and who we are attached to. It changes our expression towards others and their gender roles as well.
