What term was given to the idea that the United states should give political military and economic support to democratic nations
Vesna [10]

Answer: The Truman Doctrine

The Truman Doctrine was concerned especially about the threat of communism and totalitarianism as those "authoritarian powers."

The Truman Doctrine was first stated by President Harry Truman to Congress in 1947, saying: "It must be the policy of the United States to support free people who are resisting attempted subjugation by armed minorities or by outside pressures." Essentially, the Truman Doctrine pledged American effort elsewhere in the world to check the spread of communist and Soviet influence. The policy was first put into action in 1948 by providing economic support to Greece and Turkey to stave off communist movement in those countries.

How was Rome's economy affected by Rome's conquest of new lands?
velikii [3]

Answer:

Rome's economy grew larger due to the conquest of new lands.

Explanation:

While Roman was a city-state, it was a highly sophisticated place that was able to use limited resources to fight wars and take over new land.

They began by conquering nearby city states and consolidating their power, before embarking on more ambitious skirmishes in North Africa and Europe.

As the Roman Empire grew, they were able to acquire more land for agriculture, develop a single language, law and currency which all helped to enhance trade and business and generate more tax revenue.

Within a couple of generations, Roman had become more wealthy as millions of new people were living under the government.
