Until the 1960’s most countries lived within their natural resources. Recently figures show that today, the planet has a big problem: food shortage. Three-quarters of the world's population live in countries which consume more than they can replenish. This means that we are taking more than we can grow.
Statistics today show that Global population has increased twice in the last fifty years. If this growth rate continues, the population will double in 50 years. The United States -with its 300 million people- is one of the most consuming in the world, as well as China.
