Your question seems to be -7 +(1/8) -(-9) + (1/2) but then there is a decimal in front of the next -2 so that makes no sense unless that is a period before starting a new equation. You can simply type this beginning section into a calculator to get your answer of (21/8), but I have a feeling you just tried to copy and paste a test question and it did not format correctly in your question so is probably much more complicated than using a calculator.
A better idea would be to write it in math terms instead of words, then find a common denominator so you can simplify. Writing it out in words makes it too hard for your brain to think about it in terms of math.

Harrizon [31]
Using the equation 3(2x + 8) = 4x + 10, I found out that x is equal to -7.
The steps I took:

3(2x + 8) = 4x + 10 - Written out equation
6x + 24 = 4x + 10 - Distributive property on the left
2x + 24 = 10 - Subtracted 4x from both sides
2x = -14 - Subtraced 24 from both sides
x = -7 - Divided by 2

Patrick takes a sheet of paper and cuts from one corner to the
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

length of the cut : H=31.83 inch

Step-by-step explanation:

The cut is forming a triangle that have:

Base(B)= 22 inch

Perpendicular height(P)= 23 inch

Hypotenuse(H)= ?

Using Pythagorean Theorem:

      H^2=P^2+B^2\\H^2= (23)^2+(22)^2\\H^2= 529+484\\H^2=1013\\

     H=\sqrt{1013} \\\\

           H=31.83 inch

The length of the cut/hypotenuse is H=31.83 inch
