As Rome expanded, the people they conquered became their subjects. As such, the sheer size of Rome and the vast number of people (all of which came from different cultures with different religions and languages) made it hard for the government to successfully rule.

What did Woodrow Wilson hope his Fourteen Points would accomplish?
Yanka [14]
He wanted to create a 'League of Nations' which would be a coalition of many nations (Germany was banned from being a part of it since they were blamed for causing WW1) that would help to prevent any future wars. This was Wilson's main goal. However, since there was a lot of partisan feeling, and being involved in the League would take away the power that Congress had to declare war, Congress ended up voting against joining the League.

Which viewpoint did the North have during the Civil War?
yanalaym [24]

Answer:

B.

Explanation:

b because The North was not only fighting to preserve the Union, it was fighting to end slavery. Throughout this time, northern black men had continued to pressure the army to enlist them.

Deliverance was an expression of an idealistic view of the Union, popular among Northerners at this time, that saw America as bound together by consent and affection, not force and coercion. Northerners felt that in order to win the war they had to do more than compel Confederates' submission
