Can you please help me with this? <br> 14 + 5(x + 3) - 7x
TEA [102]
Well first you have to do distributive property with the parenthesis, multiply 5 times x and 5 times 3 to get 5x and 15 now you have 14+5x+15-7x, now add common like terms(these are terms taht have the same number variable or both) so your common numbers will be 14 and 15, and 5x and -7x now add or subtract them to get -2x+29 now you have to set x by itself so set this binomial equal to 0 to get -2x+29=0 subtract the 29 from both sides and get -2x=-29 now divide 2 by both sides to get x=29/2

Hope this helps

A manager at a factory finds that in a random sample of 250 watches, 3 are defective. Of the 7,500 watches from which the sample
gregori [183]

Answer: 7410 watches

Step-by-step explanation:

From the random sample of 250 watches, 3 are defective. The percentage that's defective will be:

= 3/250 × 100

= 1.2%

Percentage that's not defective = 100 - 1.2 = 98.8%

Therefore, from the sample of 7500 watches, the number that's not defective will be:

= 98.8% of 7500

= 98.8/100 × 7500

= 7410

Therefore, 7410 watches aren't defective

Given trapezoid abcd with bases ab and cd, draw diagonals ac and bd. let e be the midpoint of ac and f the midpoint of bd. prove
mylen [45]
Consider the picture.

Let MN be the midsegment of the trapezoid.

That is M is the midpoint of AD, N is the midpoint of BC.

Being the midsegment of the trapezoid, MN is parallel to the bases.

Let O and K be the intersections of the diagonals with the midsegment.

MN//AB, so MO//AB, and since M is the midpoint of DA, O must be the midpoint of DB,

Similarly we prove that K is the midpoint of CA.

Thus O is F and K is E.

O and K lie on the midsegment MN, so F and E lie on the midsegment.

MO is a midsegment of triangle ABD so |MO|=1/2 |AB|=1/2 * 10=5

MK is a midsegment of triangle ADC, so |MK|=1/2 * |DC|=1/2 * 22=11

|OK|=|MK|-|MO|=11-5=6 (units)
