My answer is SUPERFICIALITY.
The misspelling of Dee's 3 chosen names: wangero leewanika kemanjo is an example of SUPERFICIALITY.
Dee is a character from the story "Everyday Use". In this story, Dee, an African-American, was portrayed as someone who wanted to immerse herself in her African heritage. She did this by changing her name into Wangero Leewanika Kemanjo.
Ironically, the name "wangero" means "place of stories" or "person of stories". These place/persons were the ones who told the story of their heritage, cultures, and traditions which were passed down to generations.
Dee's change in name is superficial because she only changed her appearance and treasured things based on its monetary value not on its richness in culture and identity as a heritage. She did not practice nor live the life that is vital in making their African heritage alive.
Because he wanted to annul his marriage with Catherine of Aragon(Spanish), because she produced no surviving son, but the Pope did not approve it, there goes the Church of England...
A confession extracted by torture is always very tricky as to whether it should be trusted or not, so any historian should take this kind of confessions with reserve because it is always a 50-50 chance. Some of these confessions are true, but only in cases were the tortured one really knows the information and is not willing to give up on his/hers life by keeping it as a secret. On the other hand there a lots of confessions extracted by torture that don't correspond with the truth, but the tortured person admitted/told something that is not something he/she has done or really knows because they wanted to save their life (though very often it didn't really helped but was just used against them and as a propaganda).
Hi there!
As we may know, people didnt have light bulbs or electricity till at least 1879, therefore we can imagine they might have used natural sunlight, and of course fire. Fire has a lot of uses, and they might have found different ways to use it. For instance, candles. These were invented just like a flashlight, with fire. Fireplaces. Before our age we know they could only use natural resources.
Hope this helps you!
