Hi!
To infer may mean to introduce some new concept or idea. For example, I can infer that equality should be granted to all individuals.
Inferring can also focus on concluduing, or deducing. It means to reach a point in which you have conjured up some belief or fact.
For example, I can deduce, or, infer, that you are upset by your tone of voice!
Hopefully, this helps! =)
I have never read the book, but I suggest that you should use some sort of website where they provide a summary. Please do not plagiarize, and reword to fit your personal assignment. I advise that next book report, read the book and develop a further understanding on the novel. Reading is such an amazing concept and you should not take it for granted. Good luck, and remember: NO PLAGIARIZING!!
1. What is the author’s argument in “The Many Sides of Volunteering”? How does the author support the argument? Use evidence from the text to support your response. Your response should be at least two complete paragraphs.
Answer: The authors argument is that volunteering helps many people, not just those being directly benefited in visible ways. The author uses statistics from a study to support his/her argument.
So take the information above and add lots of info and textual support to create at least 8-10 sentences. As long as you payed close attention to details this shouldn't be to hard. :)
Hope this helps!!
I'm guessing a dummy run is something that you use a test dummy to see how something will work, example a crash dummy were they put inside a car that crashes to a solid object . a trial run/procedure kind.
(hope this help)
