1. they wanted independence from Britain because they protested that Britain had no right to tax them without the consent of their own colonial assemblies.
2. The Patriots wanted freedom from British rule because they didn’t think they were treated well.

Nasser supported the idea of Pan-arabism, which called for unity among all Arabs. He died of a heart attack during office, which was mourned all over the Arab world. He was also an important figure due to his modernization efforts and anti-imperialist attitudes.
