Which function is best accomplished with a database?

Computers and Technology

Answer: Choice A) Storing customers' package tracking information

I'm assuming we're talking about a very large company. You could use a spreadsheet, but a database is more ideal since spreadsheets bog down at a certain point when there are too many data items in it. Databases are more dynamic and allow for better scalability. The term "scalability" means it can be easily grown or shrunk depending on the needs of the client.

Choice B is false because you could use a spreadsheet to show the family's budget. The budget isn't too big and the number of items to list aren't numerous, so that's why a spreadsheet is ideal. A database would be overkill for the family's budget. The same applies to choice C and D as well. So we can rule out choices C and D also.

The internet made huge changes to the way news and information were shared. While it was faster to use newspapers or magazines to spread information than it was to simply tell people, they were still very inefficient compared to today's technology. With the internet today, anyone can come online and learn about what's happening in the far corners of the world. Take your question, for instance. If there was no internet, you might have to post a notice somewhere, which could take days to answer. However, since you were able to post this on the internet, I'm able to answer it within five minutes of it being posted.

Question # 2
nikitadnepr [17]

Answer:

1. An advertising executive looks at a print layout and says, “I don’t like it. It’s too odd-looking.”

2. No, because he lacks the finesse needed to deal with both creatives and marketing personnel.

3. Brainstorming ideas for a social media campaign

Explanation:

1. An Art Director is mostly involved in the development of images and visual content that would appeal to a specific audience. So, when the advertising executive looks at a print layout and wants some adjustments done to it, the art director would be needed because this work involves visuals.

2. If an applicant for the position of an art director is excellent at his job, but does not communicate well with non-artists, he should not be hired for the job because his work mainly revolves around artists such as the creative directors and brand strategists as well as the marketing team members and he needs to effectively communicate with them especially in an advertising agency.

3. The brand strategist basically brainstorms ideas meant to sell a product and this might require discussing with the art director on the best ways to implement this.

Llana [10]

Answer:

Data-driven Website

Explanation:

A Data-driven website is a type of website that is continually updated by its administrators so as to meet users' needs. It is opposed to a static website whose information remains the same and is never changed once uploaded.

The data-driven website is used in a platform where information has to be continually updated. An example is an online platform where people place orders for goods and services. There are usually changing prices and new goods continually uploaded. So, to keep the consumers updated, the administrators of such platforms would use a data-driven platform.
