A communications satellite transmits a radio wave at a frequency of 9.4 x 10^9 Hz. What is the signal’s wavelength? Assume the w
sergejj [24]
To calculate this we will use the light equation:
c=λ*f

We have Frequency f=9.4* 10^{9}Hz.
We know that speed of light in vacuum is c =3.8* 10^{8} m/s.
Since a unit of speed of light is m/s, we can change the unit of frequency Hz to 1/s, since Hz means cycles per second (f=1/T).

So:
f=9.4* 10^{9}1/s
<span>c =3.8* 10^{8} m/s
</span>
<span>c=λ*f
</span>⇒ λ= \frac{c}{f}
⇒ λ= \frac{3.8* 10^{8}}{9.4* 10^{9}}
⇒ <span>λ</span>=0.04 m

What is the relationship between DNA, chromosomes, genes, alleles, dominant, recessive, and trait?
larisa86 [58]
Chromosomes are made of condensed coils of DNA. Genes are segments on a chromosome that carry the code for a specific trait. Alleles are contrasting forms of a gene. Dominant means that a particular trait will be visible. Recessive means that a trait will be hidden (unless it is paired with another recessive gene). A trait is how the gene is seen. For example, eye color is a trait.

Why is oxygen important in the electron transport pathway and atp synthesis?
kiruha [24]

Answer:

NADH and FADH2 carry electrons to specialized cell membranes,where they are harvested to create ATP.Once the electrons are used, they become depleted and must be removed from the body. Oxygen is essential for this task. Used electrons bind with oxygen; this molecules eventually bind with hydrogen to form water
