<span>The thylakoids of the chloroplast within the mesophyll cell is the greenest part of the mesophyll cell. It is a membrane-bound compartment inside chloroplasts and cyanobacteria. They are the site of the light-dependent reactions of photosynthesis. However mesophyll cells in chlorenchyma tissue has chloroplast. Furthermore, Mesophyll are the objects inside a cross-section of leaf which are loosely packed cells that give the leaf a spongy appearance.</span>
