Answer:

The person would have to play 2 games for the two bowling alleys to cost the same amount

Step-by-step explanation:

Assume that the number of games that makes the two costs equal is x

∵ A bowling alley charges $2.50 per game plus $4 to rent shoes

∵ The number of games is x

∴ The cost = 2.50x + 4

∵ A second bowling alley charges $4 per game plus $1 to rent shoes

∵ The number of games is x

∴ The cost = 4x + 1

∵ They have the same cost

→ Equate the 2 expressions above

∴ 4x + 1 = 2.50x + 4

→ Subtract 2.50x from both sides

∵ 4x - 2.50x + 1 = 2.50x - 2.50x + 4

∴ 1.50x + 1 = 4

→ Subtract 1 from both sides

∵ 1.50x + 1 - 1 = 4 - 1

∴ 1.50x = 3

→ Divide both sides by 1.50

∴ x = 2

∴ The person would have to play 2 games for the two bowling alleys to

 cost the same amount

Answer:

C: Reflection across the y-axis and a translation right two units.

Step-by-step explanation:

FLVS Geometry, eh? I did that class last year.

Anyway, when you apply a reflection across the y-axis, the original shape will flip to the upper-right quadrant because it got reversed in its x coordinates (x, y becomes -x, y). From there, all you have to do is translate two to the right.

. Find the sum of the first 20 terms of the
arithmetic sequence 27, 22, 17, ....
valkas [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

a = 27

n = 20

d = -5

L20 = 27 + (n - 1)*d

L20 = 27 + (20-1)*_5

L20 = 27 + 19*-5

L20 = -68

Sum = (a + L)*n/2

Sum = (27 - 68)*20/2

Sum = -41 * 10

Sum = - 410

Answer:

The system of equations is the option A

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x ------> the number of tickets for the roller-coaster

y ------> the number of tickets for the bumper

z ------> the number of tickets for the Ferris wheel

we know that

The system of equations is equal to

John

2x+3y+z=42

Darren

3x+y+2z=36

Shelley

x+2y+3z=32

therefore

The system of equations is the option A
