Answer:

no solutions

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the 2 equations

y = - 7x + 8 → (1)

y = - 7x - 8 → (2)

Substitute y = - 7x - 8 into (1)

- 7x - 8 = - 7x + 8 ( add 8 to both sides )

- 7x = - 7x + 16 (add 7x to both sides )

0 = 16 ← not possible

This indicates the system has no solutions

Hey there!

The answer to your question is no solutions

To solve this, we will set the equations equal to eachother. We know that since the two expressions, -7x+8 and -7x-8 both equal y, then the expressions are equal. (Somebody comment what property that is, I forgot what it's called) So:

-7x+8=-7x-8\\

Add 8 to both sides:

-7x+16=-7x

Add 7x to both sides:

16 = 0

Therefore, there are no solutions.

Have a terrificly amazing day!

sashaice [31]

Answer:

(k-w)/a = t

Step-by-step explanation:

k = at + w

Subtract w from each side

k-w = at + w-w

k-w = at

Divide each side by a

(k-w)/a = at/a

(k-w)/a = t

Explain why the x-coordinates of the points where the graphs of the equations y = 4^−x and y = 2^x + 3 intersect are the solutio
lawyer [7]
The point where 2 lines intersect contain (x,y) coordinates that are equal for both equations.
By setting the 2 equations equal to each other, it is same as equating the 2 y-values, which we know they are equal at point of intersection.
