Can someone please help me solve 4 & 5? I'll love you forever
marusya05 [52]
Based on my little knowledge of statistics
4.
It's 8!/4!= 1680
(the exclamation point is basically the number of probabilities in the combination)
5.
(speculation) It's 10!-6!= 3,628,080
plus
8!-6!=39,600
equals
(3,628,080 + 39,600) / 6! = 5094
(the 6! is the amount of drink combinations you are limited to)
FYI- you can use the exclamation mark on your phone calculator, either swipe to side or press the ''extras'' button

Helppppppo points to give
viva [34]

a) The point (2, -7/5) is not a point on the graph?

b)  The value of f(x) when x is 1 is -1/3 and the point on the graph is (1, -1/3)

c) The value of x for f(x) = 2 is 22 and the point on the graph is (22, 2)

d) The domain of x is all real values of x ≠ 10

e) The x intercept is -2

f) The y intercept is -1/5

<h3>What is a Function?</h3>

Function is a relation from a set of inputs to a set of possible outputs where each input is related to exactly one output and not one input for two outputs.

Analysis:

a) To test if the point (2, -7/5) is a point on the graph, we put in x = 2 into the function,

f(2) = 2+2/2-10 = 4/-8  = -1/2 ≠ -7/5. Therefore (2, -7/5) is not a point on the graph.

b) if x = 1, f(1) = 1 +2 / 1-10 =  3/-9 = - 1/3

   The point on the graph is (1, -1/3)

c) if f(x) = 2, then 2 = x+2/x-10

     2(x-10) = x+2

     2x -20 = x+2

      2x-x = 2+20

      x = 22, the point on the graph is (22, 2)

d) The domain of the function is such that the denominator would not be zero.

so if x - 10 ≠ 0

Then the values of x ≠ 10 are the domain of the function.

e) The x intercept of the graph is the point at which f(x) = 0

  0 = x+2/x-10

   x+2 = 0

   x = -2. The x-intercept is -2.

f) the y-intercept is such that x = 0

   0+2/0-10 = 2/-10 = -1/5
