In the war, she ends up saving the General's life which comes into play later. However, In a battle (The one she saved his life in) She was stabbed by the bad guy. While fixing the stab the doctor notices that she is a girl and basically rats her out. Normally she would have been killed but instead (because she saved the general's life) he spared her life. She was, however, left alone in the mountains (where they were fighting) to die. But when she sees the bad guys marching on the main town she jumps into action. She ends up saving the Emporer and helped win the war. She also grew very close with the general. So late they get married. THE END!
Attending a 'Synagogue' is part of Jewish tradition where in synagogues they celebrate a boy or girl 13 years of maturity. Where as, in Jewish tradition 13 years of a child- the child is knowledgeable about their Jewish roots and becomes apart as a Jewish adult (treated and challenged as a adult.)
